JTW Contractors have successfully delivered a wide range of projects on behalf of Imagile Group (IPSL) at the UCL Cruciform Building in Gower Street.

Recently completed projects include:

• Glasswashers Replacement Project – JTW were awarded the project and appointed as Principal Contractor on a JCT Minor Works Contract including RIBA MEP Stage 4 Design development, CDP responsibilities & full CDM co-ordination.

The project involved the disconnection, dismantling and removal of redundant autoclaves & dishwashers and the installation of 2 new Uniclean commercial grade glasswashers, construction of Nitrogen Storeroom area and full 170m2 area refurbishment.

M&E works included steam/condensate isolations/modifications including new block & bleed valves, strip out of existing and installation of new FCU’s, validation testing & reports, new sink units with associated pipework modifications, new LED lighting throughout including emergency lighting & controls, new isolation switch controls and power circuits and the installation of a Gemlog oxygen sensor system to the newly formed Nitrogen Storeroom. BMS interface and control modifications along with Fire Detection upgrades.

Fabric works included the formation of the new Nitrogen storeroom constructed form MF studs with APR insulation and plasterboard linings, renewal of quarry tiled areas, new ceiling grid with a washable clipped Armstrong Dune eVo tiled system, Acrovyn wall and edge protection & general decorations.

An Asbestos R&D survey was undertaken, and ACM gaskets removed under a controlled environment by a specialist licensed contractor.

• Fire Door Replacements – As part of an ongoing project, JTW have replaced several internal & external fire door sets including frames, intumescent seals, fire rated glazing, ironmongery & signage with independent inspection/reports & LPCB Certification issued for compliance.
• Over the past 3 years we have undertaken continual fabric upgrades in many areas of the complex including vinyl and stair vinyl flooring with Gradus aluminium nosings, new ceiling grid/tile upgrades with LED light replacements, office area reconfigurations, Acrovyn wall & corner protections and general decorating and refresh of many areas.
